Au Jus (as if from Brisket)

2 T. butter
1 medium onion
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. ketchup
1/2 c. chili sauce
1/4 c. cider vinegar
2 T. lemon juice
2 T. soy sauce
1 T. molasses or honey
2 t. dried mustard
1/2 t. ground pepper
1/2 t. paprika

For 5 lbs brisket

Melt butter, cook chopped onion until opaque. Blend in remaining ingredients, then bring to a boil. Simmer 30 minutes.
